Early Childhood Education & Nutrition

image50

Currently, over 3 million children under the age of 5 die every year due to extreme hunger. That's over 8000 little children who suffer and die needlessly every single day.

IGO's education and nutritional program provides desperate preschool aged children 2 meals per day in a safe and nurturing environment.

Although still living in extreme poverty, preschoolers are healthy, happy and full of energy. This basic provision of food and safety for the children has a ripple effect, benefiting their family and community as well.

With their children safe, mothers can now focus on earning income to help support the family...

All of the children enrolled in IGO’s early childhood educational program come from extremely impoverished areas where it’s very difficult to find work.

As a result, their mothers often become beggars on the streets (many of whom are homeless) or work as a daily laborer earning less than .50 cents per day

Unable to afford childcare, they search for work carrying children on their backs or by their sides. This makes it even more difficult to find work, which is why they often resort to begging on the streets or doing whatever necessary to survive. These circumstances place innocent little children in danger and often lead to their unfortunate demise.

The Institute for Global Outreach was able to provide over 100 preschoolers with pairs of shoes they desperately needed!
